Statuary - Statuario

(Statuary)

We carry 2 main types of statues at StregaCrafts. The first type are statues of the Archangels found in many mystical traditions of Italic Craft. Powerful entities, Archangel have appeared in a wide variety of world religions. In addition to being part of mystical Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, Archangels appear in older faiths as messengers of the Divine.

The second type are the amazing statues from Paul Borda of Dryad Design. These statues are resin, but because many of the originals are wood you can see the chisel marks and the grain of the wood in many of the castings. Paul is primarily a wood carver, but some of the statues were actually carved in stone. See if you can tell the difference!  The average statue takes 300-500 hours of carving time to complete and that is not counting the design and research!

The third type are the classic images of the Greco-Roman divinities.

Dryad Design, Ltd is the "soul work" of artist Paul Borda. All designs are original, many are based on extensive research and all are copyrighted. The statues and jewelry include God and Goddess imagery from Celtic, Norse, Russian and Sumerian Mythology. These cultures have had a strong influence on modern-day Paganism and ancient Northern Italian cultures.
